Second Century Club
Overview
The Second Century Club is dedicated to the Department of Advertising and Public Relations within the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication. The Club’s creation was founded on the principle of continuing our tradition of excellence. In 2015 we celebrated the first 100 years of Grady College and we are striving to continue our ongoing goal of being the best AdPR program in the U.S. With support from you and corporate partners, our students continue to expand their horizons in our global study abroad programs, gain real-world experience through professional partnerships with industry leading agencies and are involved with cutting-edge research in virtual reality, health and crisis communications and the new SEE suite – a social media classroom/lab powered by Crimson Hexagon.
With 26 full-time, award-winning professors and over 800 undergraduates, masters, and doctoral students we are proud to have a 94% placement rate after graduation. Because of dedicated support from individuals like you, graduates are digital ready, strategic problem solvers and communicators with a comprehensive foundation in advertising or public relations.
Membership
The Club recognizes individuals who make an annual contribution to the AdPR Excellence Fund of $1,000 or more. Founding members are those that have contributed during 2016, the first year of our second century. By becoming a member today, you can help create a strong foundation for our future success. As a Second Century Club member you will receive the following benefits:
· An invitation to an annual members-only event showcasing our students. This event will provide an opportunity to personally interact with advertising and public relations students to see how your gift has positively enhanced their education.
· Two tickets to our Homecoming Tailgate, which occurs on the Grady lawn each fall before the Homecoming football game.
· Periodic program updates highlighting new endeavors made possible by your gift.
· Access to the industry’s cutting-edge research by our nationally recognized faculty.
Commitment
Your membership plays an important role in shaping the future of AdPR by enhancing our existing academic programs, recruiting the brightest students, and funding new programs. We will strive to continue to earn our member’s loyal support year after year. Simply put, members of the Second Century Club allow AdPR to continue and grow in reputation as one of the top programs in the country.
