About
AdPR Connection is an annual student-run networking event featuring panels, networking socials, and a career fair designed to help students connect with future employers and develop the necessary skills for their job search. We look forward to welcoming employers and students to our 16th Annual AdPR Connection Conference and Career Fair.

Panel Discussion: “Advance”
Aimed at empowering students in their job search, this panel will feature industry professionals reflecting on their experiences in the job market. The discussion will focus on leveraging unexpected opportunities and embracing failures as a channel for growth, helping students pivot as needed after graduation.
3:30 pm – 4:30 pm
Panel Discussion: “Explore”
This panel will offer practical advice on building confidence and portfolios, recognizing potential, understanding the latest technology trends, and preparing for the transition from student life to the job market. It aims to equip students’ networking skills and develop essential job search capabilities.

Sabrena Deal, M.F.A.
Faculty Advisor of AdPR Connection
Sabrena Deal is a Senior Lecturer in Advertising and Public Relations. She teaches Brand Strategy, Graphic Communication and Integrated Campaigns courses. She is a UGA Faculty Active Learning Leader and recently earned a Universal Design for Learning credential.
Deal uses strategic communication to support the efforts of justice-based non-profit organizations relating to sex trafficking risk factors like housing insecurity and Foster Care. She is the author of several LinkedIn Learning courses, including her most recent, “Inclusive Typography.”
