Sabrena Deal
About: Deal teaches Graphic Communication and Advertising Message Strategy. She works with undergraduate students to develop an understanding of basic design concepts, common design challenges, idea generation, brainstorming, and content writing and editing using Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign).

Research Interests and Activities
Deal is interested in using strategic communication to support the efforts of justice based non-profit organizations specifically relating to sex trafficking. She is also an assistant editor at RPA Journal. Her conference presentation topics have revolved around social media campaigns and teaching with technology integration.

Deal has taught visual communication courses such as: Digital Photography, Digital Imaging, Desktop Publishing, Introduction to Web Design, Digital Illustration, Design Fundamentals, Visual Communication Theory, and Publication Design. She currently teaches Graphic Communication and Advertising Message Strategy in the Advertising & Public Relations department.
Experience
Deal has more than 15 years of experience in art direction and print design. Her publication design work has garnered several national best in print awards. She owns and operates a wedding and lifestyle photography company which has served over 150 couples and families over the past 9 years. She also works in the CrossFit community providing competition photography and CrossFit Inc. Regionals media coverage.
