Technology Requirements for EMST major

For students earning a bachelor’s degree in Journalism with a major in Entertainment and Media Studies

A laptop with the capability to run the latest versions of Microsoft Office as well as Adobe Creative Cloud or Avid Media Composer is recommended for all Department of Entertainment and Media Studies students. Those who intend to pursue production-focused interests are encouraged to acquire a laptop equipped to handle large video projects. Either Apple or Windows-based PCs are acceptable, provided they are able to run the software recommended below.
