Grady College builds on the legacy of its outstanding faculty, many of whom grace us with their presence for years following their retirements. We want to celebrate you, our UGA mentees. We applaud you for taking the step to sign up for the UGA Mentor Program and take advantage of this priceless opportunity to expand your network and form meaningful relationships. We are celebrating across campus all day.

Report for America Info Session

Report for America is a national service program that places talented emerging journalists in local newsrooms to report on under-covered topics and communities across the United States and its territories. Upcoming May graduates, as well as recent graduates, are welcome to join. Positions start in July 2026.

Journalism and Mass Communication Career Day 2026

Career Day connects organizations with students seeking internships and full-time roles in digital, print and broadcast journalism, entertainment, film, production, advertising and public relations. In recent years, the event has drawn 30-40 employers and 450+ students. We welcome all Grady College students, employers interested in hiring them, and our college’s faculty and staff to join us. This event is presented in partnership with the Georgia Association of Broadcasters and the UGA Career Center. Intern Hours

Join us for Intern Hours, a peer networking event for Grady College students. Each session will feature a group of current Grady students who had or have internships in Summer or Fall 2025 or Spring 2026. Get tips on how they found their internships, how to prep for your own internship applications, what they did in the role and more. Washington, D.C. Alumni Reception

For more than a decade Grady college students and faculty have visited Washington, D.C. to learn more about communications roles in the area and meet alumni. Join us to welcome the group and network with fellow alumni. Appetizers and non alcoholic beverages will be served. Register here by Feb. 17.
