Crisis Communication Think Tank

April 16 - April 17

The Crisis Communication Think Tank invites 20 scholars and professionals to report back on 2018-2019 work group accomplishments and be engaged in a full day of panel discussions, speaker presentations, critiquing graduate student research, and developing research agenda for 2020-2021. The event is sponsored by the C. Richard Yarbrough Professorship, the Center for Health and Risk Communication, the Georgia Athletic Association Professorship, and the Hearst Visiting Professional program in Grady College. Several sessions are open to the public.

McGill Medal Presentation

A prominent Indian investigative journalist will receive the 2020 McGill Medal for Journalistic Courage. Rana Ayub is the Global Opinions Writer at the Washington Post. She has reported on religious violence, extrajudicial killings by the state, insurgency and authored an international bestseller titled “Gujarat Files: Anatomy of a Cover-Up', an undercover investigation which exposes the complicity of the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in state-sponsored genocide.
