Photojournalists at the Georgia National Fair

For the second year, Mark Johnson’s advanced photojournalism students attended the Georgia National Fair in Perry, Ga., to gain in-the-field experience capturing sights and sounds of scenes away from Athens. The 24 students were assisted by Johnson and eight professional photographers who provided advice and feedback.

Each semester Johnson takes his students off campus for a photojournalism workshop.

This trip was funded in part by help of alumni and friends through a University of Georgia crowd funding project and the UGA Office of Service-Learning.
