Journalism student designs winning graphics for college’s Hunger Bowl campaign
Students in Kim Landrum's Graphic Communication class (ADPR 3520) had the opportunity to showcase their design skills while helping Grady College promote the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia’s annual Hunger Bowl food drive. During the past three weeks, students worked to create social media campaigns focused on educating students, faculty and staff about the event benefitting the Northeast Georgia Food Bank. Finalists were selected and one student's work was chosen to appear on Grady's social media channels.

Katie Cline, a junior in magazine journalism, was chosen as the winner. About her design, Cline stated, “I wanted to keep it simple but still give people the classic feeling of autumn and Thanksgiving. I wanted it to remind people of the feel-good warmth they'd feel if they donated and made a difference, even in a small, simple way.”
Eric Hangartner, Courtney Jackson, Alexis Schuster, Hannah Turner, Lindsay Perterson, and Katie Mosely were also chosen as finalists.
The Hunger Bowl continues through Friday, Nov. 13. Drop off non-perishable food donations in specially marked bins throughout the college. Monetary donations are being collected in the business office, rooms 209 and 210.
