Help Grady College raise donations for #HungerBowl2015
Grady College is proud to once again participate in the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia’s Hunger Bowl, an annual food drive that helps feed local families in need throughout Thanksgiving and beyond. Faculty, staff, students and area alumni are encouraged to drop off donations beginning on Friday, Oct.30 through Friday, Nov.13.
“Nothing makes you feel better during the holiday season than helping others, and the Hunger Bowl food drive is perfectly timed to give us a chance to give back to the community we love,” said Dean Charles Davis. “This year we are attempting to raise our giving to a new level — the goal is 15,000 pounds of food, and I am confident that we can get there.”
Dean Charles Davis and Adeline Kenerly, Miss Georgia and a Grady student, share information about the 2015 Hunger Bowl benefiting the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia. |
Large collection bins for canned or other non-perishable food items are located on the first through the fourth floors of the building. Cash or checks—made out to the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia— can be dropped off at the business office. All donors are invited to fill out a Grady Gives card to be placed on the window wall in front of the Peyton Anderson Forum.
For your convenience, a drive-up and drop-off collection will be available at the non-gated section of the Psychology parking lot (N09) on Thursday, Nov. 5 and Thursday, Nov.12 from 7:30 a.m. – 9:30a.m. Volunteers will be on hand to help you with your donations.
