ADPR Connection 2015: Becoming a V.I.P.
Students will learn what it means to become a V.I.P. at this year’s fifth annual ADPR Connection on Tuesday, Oct. 20 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the University of Georgia’s Tate Grand Hall. The event’s theme, Becoming a V.I.P., will highlight the importance of being versatile, inspired and prepared in today’s professional world.
In previous years, this networking event has hosted more than 100 professionals from nearly 60 companies, interacting with more than 500 students. Thanks to the generosity of our corporate sponsors, attendance for the event is free for all who participate.
This year’s ADPR Connection will include six V.I.P.-inspired workshops, a coffee hour, senior luncheon, career fair all at Tate, and a mixer at East West Bistro in downtown Athens.
The event is sponsored by UGA PRSSA and Ad Club. It is co-directed by Erin Geoffroy and Diana Soloaga and managed by four committees with almost 60 members.
Additionally, a #LandtheJob Boot Camp hosted by Interview Snob and Southworth Co. will be held for students on October 13 to help them put their best foot forward on the big day.
Sponsors for this event include Nebo at the platinum level; BBDO, Coca Cola, Cookerly Public Relations, The Creative Circus, Dodge Communications, Moxie, MSL Group and Porter Novelli at the gold level; and Erwin Penland and Jackson Electric Membership Corporation at the silver level.
