Karin Assmann and Grady grad Carey L. Higgins-Dobney (Kentucky) are on an accepted panel titled “On air, online, and over the top: Impacts of technology on labor in U.S. local TV newsrooms,” AEJMC’s annual conference in Philadelphia, PA (August 8 - 11).
Abstract: Labor and technology often go hand-in-hand in U.S. local television newsrooms. This panel will explore that relationship and its impact on newsroom workers both behind the scenes and in front of the camera as they tell the stories of the communities they live and work in.
