Join us for an exciting 8-week summer internship experience in beautiful and vibrant Chicago, one of the top media and communications cities in the country! Through your internship, you’ll gain valuable hands-on experience in your area of interest, and you’ll study the creative process of generating and developing energizing new ideas in an all-new course you’ll take as part of the summer internship program.
Program Dates
Students will arrive in Chicago on Saturday, June 1 and depart on Saturday, July 27, 2024.
Internships should begin Monday, June 3 and end Thursday, July 26, 2024.
Classes will be one night a week (day of week is TBD at this time) for eight weeks.
Students will intern Monday thru Thursday of each week, with Friday’s being open for local learning experiences or fun activities.
The Course and Internship
Your course will be “ADPR 5990: Special Topics in Ideation: The Power of Big Ideas.” In it, you’ll study cutting-edge creative work being done in the Chicago market, meet some of the people and organizations responsible for it, and learn how to develop your creativity in generating your own sharp and powerful ideas.
You will receive 3-credit hours for the course and 3-credit hours for the internship, for a total of 6 upper-level elective credit hours.
