AdPR Connection is an annual student-run networking event that includes workshops, a career fair and networking socials to help students connect with future employers and build skills needed for their job search. AdPR Connection is sponsored by UGA’s PRSSA chapter and AdClub and takes place each Fall.

We look forward to welcoming professionals and students for our Annual AdPR Connection event on Nov. 8 & 9, 2023. Below is our expected schedule.

Wednesday Nov. 8

Kick-Off Event // Panel Discussions, Snacks, Door Prizes, Free Headshots and More (North Psychology Journalism Tower Rm 106)

3:15 to 4 p.m.

Initiating Connection, In-Person Panel

Join us for an engaging panel discussion that touches on three pillars of personal and professional growth: Networking, Mentorship, and Building Relationships. In this session, our panelists will shed light on the significance of these concepts and provide practical insights on how to incorporate them into your career aspirations.

Leadership in Motion, Virtual Panel Watch Party

In this panel, we dive into the concept of leadership, bridging the gap between personal and professional growth. The session starts by dissecting the idea of personal leadership and how it translates into career success. Discover how to take initiative in the workplace, master your job search, and consistently propel your career forward.

Registration re-opens Fall 2024

Ella Randall Lee

Ella Randall Lee is a fourth-year majoring in public relations with a minor in communications and a certificate in nonprofit management. She is also pursuing a master’s degree in Integrated Advertising and Public Relations through UGA’s dual degree program. Ella Randall is involved with PRSSA, Women in Media, Sigma Alpha Omega, Grady Ambassadors and AdPR Connection. She also spent her 2022 summer at the Cannes Lion International Festival of Creativity through Grady College study abroad. When she’s not in class, you can find Ella Randall playing pickleball with friends, traveling or trying new restaurants around Athens. She loves making new friends, so she is very excited to be a part of the AdPR Connection team!

Maddie Ciardulla

Maddie Ciardullo is a fourth-year student majoring in public relations and pursuing a master’s degree in emerging media through UGA’s dual degree program. Along with her studies, she is actively involved in several organizations including PRSSA, ADPR Connection, UGA Honors College Ambassadors, Morehead Honors College Teaching Assistants, Talking Dog, and Alpha Phi. Maddie’s experiences extend beyond her campus involvement. Last year, she participated in a Grady College study abroad program where she attended the Cannes Lions Festival for Creativity, further expanding her knowledge of the advertising and public relations industries. When Maddie is not on campus, she enjoys working at the downtown Athens Chick-fil-a, taking walks on Milledge, traveling and spending time with friends. Maddie is excited to participate in ADPR Connection for the second year in a row and is eager to see what this year’s event has in store.

Sabrena Deal, MFA

Faculty Advisor

Sabrena Deal is a lecturer in Advertising and Public Relations. She teaches Brand Strategy and Graphic Communication courses. Deal is interested in using strategic communication to support the efforts of justice-based non-profit organizations specifically relating to sex trafficking. She also is the author of several LinkedIn Learning courses, including her most recent, “Creating Inclusive Content.”
