Abstract: In this in-class activity, students engage in a simulated crisis scenario involving a magazine embroiled in an AI-related controversy. The scenario prompts students to address issues of editorial oversight and ethical standards after allegations surface regarding fake AI writers. Through role-play, students carry out crisis communication tasks, such as drafting crisis statements and conducting press conferences. The exercise aims to improve students’ understanding of AI-related crises and hone their practical skills for handling such crises.
