WWII Documentary Filmmaking Study Abroad Program
WWII Documentary Filmmaking
overview
overview
Join us in Summer 2025 on the inaugural WWII Documentary Filmmaking Study Abroad Program! This program will travel to different locations each year, following historic locations of WWII. For 2025, students will be traveling to Amsterdam and Belgium!
Along with Grady College’s own faculty, students will be traveling and collaborating with the talented individuals running the World War II Foundation to shoot a documentary film about World War II and the related history in the region.
This program will provide students an experiential learning opportunity, for 3-hours of course credit, by participating in the film production as a crew member and a creator.
In Amsterdam, students will have a chance to film at the Ann Frank house, as well as a WWII Museum, among other historic locations. Then, students will travel to Bastogne and film in the Hurtgen Forest, Bastogne Battlefields that were depicted in Band of Brothers and some other villages that were caught up in the war.
