Aarum (Farrah) Youn-Heil (current PhD student) received first place in the Top Student Paper competition for AEJMC’s Minorities and Communication Division for her paper, “America was terrified… of an Orange”: How Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings Reverts Yellow Peril Propaganda through Intertextuality.” This paper also received AEJMC’s “Champions of Editing’s Deborah Gump’s Excellence in Research Award.”
