Overview: This grant funds enhancement of the Open Educational Resource (OER) for the University of Georgia New Media Institute’s Web Development course hosted at
https://nmi.cool/web. This OER is regularly used by 8+ faculty members teaching over a dozen sections at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Over the past year, the OER has served nearly 60,000 views to over 7,000 visitors. The OER was last substantially updated in the spring of 2020. With this continuous improvement grant, we aim to improve the OER’s effectiveness, clarity, and user experience and to provide crucial updates to the curriculum to keep it aligned with ever-evolving industry trends and standards.
