Profiles of Tenacity: Samuel Tritto
Profiles of Tenacity: Samuel Tritto
Samuel Tritto is a fourth-year public relations major and religion minor from Gray, Georgia. Tritto serves as PRSSA’s director of internal affairs.

Read his Q/A below.
Why did you choose your major?
After starting out my college experience as a political science major, I quickly realized I was meant for something else. I have always considered myself to be a mediator, and because public relations is about harmonious advocacy it felt like the perfect fit.
What does tenacity mean to you?
For me, tenacity means pushing yourself unwaveringly, not letting any distraction come between you and your dreams. It also means finding a way even when there is no clear path.
What is one piece of advice that you would give to other Grady students?
Network! Grady is full of resources for you to advance your professional network and further your career. Start by going to the Grady Career Fair.

What motivates you?
The feeling that I am meant for more, and that God is watching out for me, motivates me to follow my passions and go after my dreams.
What or who has had the biggest impact on your life during your time at UGA?
My friend and roommate, Charlie Camden, a fellow Grady student. He has shown me immense support since meeting him in my freshman year, and his presence has pushed me to be more creative and lead with my heart.
What has been your biggest accomplishment in the past year?
I had the honor of interning with KCSA Strategic Communications this summer. Although the internship was remote, I was determined to have a New York summer before my senior year, so I booked a flight and lived on my aunt’s floor for three months. It was a wonderful experience that let me build on my traditional PR skills while exploring the epicenter of American culture.

What is your favorite place on campus and why?
My favorite place on campus has to be the Grady lawn. I know I might be biased, but that lawn is truly the heart of UGA to me! Looking out at it from the fourth floor of Grady is a memorable experience.
What advice would you give to your freshman self?
You are not an imposter! You belong here and you belong in Grady. Enjoy the experience and let your personality, drive and love for others guide you toward success.
