Profiles of Tenacity: Noah Buice

May 02, 2025

Noah Buice is a fifth year from Barnesville, Georgia, majoring in journalism with a Certificate in Sports Media. Noah works as a digital marketing intern for Georgia Bulldog Sports Marketing. This past summer, Noah interned for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, where he was then promoted to a producer.

Read his Q/A below.

Why did you choose your major?

Three jobs always stood out to me: journalist, teacher and doctor. I think all those roles have a big role informing and educating others which is something I’ve always enjoyed. I was pre-med until I was shadowing doctors during the Covid pandemic and that pushed me away from medicine. I decided to take a journalism class at the University of North Georgia just to try it and I fell in love with it.

What does tenacity mean to you?

Tenacity is always striving to be the best and pushing through the challenges that will come. No one has ever gotten better by being comfortable.

What is one piece of advice that you would give to other Grady students?

Do what others think is impossible. Go for that big story or project that seems back breaking. When I graduated high school I was denied from the University of Georgia. Once I eventually made it here, I was denied from the sports media program. Both of those moments in my life taught me so much. If I gave up instead of taking the chance to work at making my way in, I never would have become the person I am today and had the privilege to graduate from this university.

What motivates you?

My parents. My dad was the first person in his family to graduate college. My mom was the third person to graduate college behind her two older sisters. Everyday I try to reach the standard that they set and have at least half the work ethic that they do.

What or who has had the biggest impact on your life during your time at UGA?

The Carmical Sports Media Institute has been the biggest impact on me while at UGA. Like I said, I was initially denied from the program. I sat down with Carlo Finlay and he told me some options to make myself a stronger candidate. That set a fire in me and I did everything he said. It led me to Georgia Bulldogs Sports Marketing, The Pro Football Hall of Fame and starting my own media company. Without that conversation, I never would’ve been able to accomplish the things that I have during my time here. Shoutout to everyone in that suite.

What has been your biggest accomplishment in the past year?

Being offered a producer position at the Pro Football Hall of Fame. I was there as an intern last summer. In my interview I told them what made me different is that I’ll outwork everyone in the room 10/10 times. I got there and kept my promise. That led to them offering me a position that I accepted at the end of the summer. That was the first moment that I was finally able to see what all the work was for. That was the first moment I felt like it was truly paying off.

Where’s your favorite place on campus and why?

Dooley Field at Sanford Stadium. I grew up coming to the games with my family and always dreamed about being on the field. Now, being able to work on the field is so surreal and I still tear up every time the battle hymn plays.

What advice would you give to your freshman self?

Timing is everything. Keep your head down and keep working so when the time comes you’re ready for the moment. When the moment comes, be confident. You’re capable of a lot, but you just haven’t proven it to yourself yet.
