Profiles of Tenacity: Ally Kramer
Profiles of Tenacity: Ally Kramer
Ally Kramer is a fourth-year public relations major with a minor in fashion merchandising and certificate in new media studies. Kramer serves as the president of Women in Media at UGA and is a TEDxUGA presenter advisor.

Why did you choose your major?
Public relations felt like the perfect fit for me because I truly value creativity and purpose. I love the process of taking an idea and shaping it into something that genuinely connects with people. I have the flexibility to explore all of my creative interests in a variety of fields and tell stories in authentic and impactful ways.
What does tenacity mean to you?
Tenacity is embracing passion despite all challenges and hardships. It’s the quiet persistence that keeps you moving forward when things feel uncertain and life feels overwhelming. It’s about resilience and continuing to give your best effort and stay true to who you are, no matter the circumstances.

What is one piece of advice that you would give to other Grady students?
I feel like everyone always says it, but get involved early! My favorite thing about Grady is the people, as cheesy as it may sound. Everyone here is so passionate, creative and driven, and getting involved is the best way to meet them. Grady is such a special community, and I’ve loved learning from and being inspired by everyone around me.
What or who has had the biggest impact on your life?
My friends inspire me every day, and we’re always encouraging each other to grow and dream bigger. I love being surrounded by people with different interests and perspectives who still share the same excitement for chasing what they love. Their passion is contagious and it pushes me to be better and braver in everything I do. I’m so grateful for the encouragement and inspiration they bring into my life.

What has been your biggest accomplishment in the past year?
Challenging myself to try new things. I’ve always been drawn to comfort, but I’ve learned that real growth only happens when you step outside of your comfort zone. Taking on the role of president of Women in Media has pushed me to lead with confidence and take on responsibilities I never had before. Through it all, I’ve learned to trust myself and my abilities more than ever.
What is your favorite place on campus and why?
Definitely Founders Memorial Garden. As a lover of nature and flowers, it’s a space that always brings me peace. It’s one of those places that reminds me to slow down and appreciate the little moments.
What advice would you give to your future self?
I’d remind my future self to enjoy the current moment. It’s easy to get caught up thinking about what’s next or what’s already passed, but the present is what really matters. Time moves fast, and I want to make sure I’m fully enjoying where I’m at instead of rushing ahead.
