Song
NaYoung Song is a first-year doctoral student in the Department of Advertising and Public Relations at the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication, where she also earned her master’s degree in Integrated Advertising and Public Relations. She serves as the Yarbrough Crisis Communication Fellow with the Crisis Communication Think Tank and is affiliated with the Center for Advanced Computer-Human Ecosystems (CACHE), the Crisis, Insights, and Analytics (CIA) Lab, and the Brain, Body, and Media (BBAM) Lab.
Her research examines crisis communication in industry and legal contexts, with a focus on the role of technology in crisis scenarios. NaYoung was the first student to complete the joint BA–MA program between Korea University and the University of Georgia. Her professional experience includes roles as a Crisis Communication Intern with the Division of Marketing and Communications, as well as positions in internal communication and technical writing at Telechips, Inc.
