Amy Hicks has more than 20 years experience in customer service and community engagement. She has worked at Grady College since March 2024 after 16.5 years as a public library manager for multiple libraries throughout Walton County, GA. She has acted as the liaison for various library construction projects, grant acquisitions, and community projects. One of Amy’s passions is serving others and has been a member of her local Rotary Club, Kiwanis Club, Delta Kappa Gamma Educators Society, and Junior Service League. She has been the chair for the F.I.S.H. Ministries Gala that has raised over $100,000 to help provide free medical and dental care to those in Walton County who are unable to afford it. With children’s literacy being one of her ultimate goals in life, her proudest achievement is helping distribute over 20,000 free books to children during the course of her library career. She is a 2010 graduate from Athens Technical College with an associates degree in applied science of radiography and a 2021 graduate of Valdosta State University with a bachelors degree in organizational leadership.
