Dialogues in Diversity is a lunchtime speaker series that provides faculty and staff a space to engage in group discussions about an issue of diversity at UGA. During this session, we will observe and discuss a short film entitled “Ungubani” that tells the story of a young Black man who puts himself at risk to save a young white woman in distress. This film is a tale of identity, perception, and race with a literary leitmotif. Booker T. Mattison, the filmmaker behind “Ungbani” will speak at this event.
Space is filled on a first-come basis. There is no cost to attend, but prior registration is required. Lunch will be provided.
Registration is open to faculty and staff only via pep.uga.edu.
