Advertising and Public Relations Summer Camp for High School Students (virtual)

Want to join the ranks of the “Mad Men”? In the Advertising and Public Relations course, participants will learn how to become creative problem solvers, writers, decision-makers and persuasive communicators within traditional and new media. Students will study ways to reach target audiences and effectively communicate their messages to the general public. As a class, they will design an integrated campaign for a non-profit organization.
Ages: 14-17 (at the start of camp)
Format: Online, 9 a.m. -3 p.m. EST. However, each course will be a mix of blocks of study, activities, guest speakers, independent work, etc. The complete schedule will be available to registrants three weeks before the start of each camp.
Registration: Registration is now available. There is a max of 20 participants. The fee is $390.
Limited need-based financial aid is available. To apply for financial assistance, please fill out this form, and email it to journalismacademy@uga.edu by April 30, 2021. In addition to the completed form, include a general interest statement (about 250-300 words), a statement of need (no longer than 500 words), one letter of recommendation and one work sample. Please send all materials together.
