In celebration of the 190th anniversary of the Black Press, the Department of Journalism is pleased to welcome Dr. Benjamin F. Chavis Jr., president and CEO of the National Newspaper Publishers Association.  Chavis is an entrepreneur, global business leader, educator, civil rights leader, NAACP Life Member, syndicated columnist and author.  The event is co-sponsored by UGA’s chapter of NABJ.
