ADPR 5590 Podcast Branding and Production was a special topics course for Fall 2023 that combined creative aspects of branding, some copywriting, strategy, hands-on production and a lot of fun. Work took place in our new state-of-the-art podcasting studio.

Students began with a proposal document (theme, audience, genre, name, tagline, visual branding elements, personality, writing style, format, music) before designing their visual marker. Next, students wrote and recorded a promo and two full episodes as well as produced 4-weeks’ worth of Instagram content.

Students chose the subject matter and Professor Landrum guided them through technical and artistic considerations, best practices, production and promotion.
