Synopsis: An exploration of the history and culture of soccer in Georgia, from the stonemasons who brought the game with them when they came to quarry Stone Mountain to the impending opening of the U.S. Soccer National Training Center and beyond. The book will combine journalism and scholarship to show how the game’s growth parallels that of Atlanta and the state of Georgia as a whole.
