Abstract: This paper examines the groundbreaking Korean Boys' Love (BL) series, Semantic Error, which challenges heteronormative structures within and beyond the genre while providing essential queer representation. By blending BL genre with conventional elements of Korean Drama, the series creates a space for same-sex love, providing visibility for Korean and transnational audiences. This paper explores how Semantic Error promotes gender and sexual inclusivity, offering alternative representations of love, desire, and intimacy while bridging cultural boundaries.
