2025 Inez Kaiser Graduate Students of Color Award
Anne Perera (Ph.D. student) was selected as the recipient of the 2025 Inez Kaiser Graduate Students of Color Award, presented by the AEJMC Public Relations Division (PRD) and the Mass Communication and Society Division (MCSD). In informing Anne of her selection, the chair of the Award committee stated: “You truly stood out for your scholarly promise, commitment to advancing the field of public relations and mass communication, and alignment with the spirit of this award—honoring the legacy of Inez Kaiser, the first African-American woman to join PRSA and lead a PR agency with national clients.” The award includes $1,000 in funding for research or conference-related travel along with a one-year AEJMC membership.
