Martinez

Isabella Martinez is the events coordinator for the New Media Institute. She earned both her Master of Arts in Emerging Media and her Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication.

In her role, Isabella oversees the planning, communication, and execution of NMI’s events, including NMIXpo and TEDxUGA. She also supports donor engagement, budget management, and strategic promotional efforts.

With a passion for education, Isabella serves as the teaching assistant for New Media & TED, a course that prepares students to become stronger presenters by studying the art and science of storytelling. She has also served as an instructor for the AdPR Summer Media Academy, where she enjoys mentoring the next generation of media professionals.

When she’s not in Grady, Isabella can be found practicing or teaching yoga, hiking and camping, or fostering and volunteering with the Athens Area Humane Society.
