Cochran
James Cochran is a marketer with 10 years of experience in brand management, media relations and product marketing. He serves as the associate director of marketing and communications for the Terry College of Business. James's research interests include parasocial relationships, ascribing trust and credibility, and how brands leverage (and fumble) corporate social responsibility.
James began his career at Arketi Group, an Atlanta-based marketing and PR agency supporting B2B technology companies, where he managed media relations, messaging development and go-to-market strategies for clients such as NCR, Cox Communications and Xerox. He earned his BA in communication from the University of North Alabama and his MA from the University of Georgia Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication. When he’s not hammering out brand messaging, you can find James cheering on the Dawgs with his wife, Teddi, and dog, Tucker.
