Overview & Important deadlines
Grady College scholarships are awarded each academic year through an application process that opens at the end of each fall semester. Scholarship recipients will be contacted in early May, and scholarship funds are awarded in August and applied to the fall semester. Grady scholarships are made possible through generous contributions to the College that recognize and encourage academic and professional achievement.
For the 2025-2026 academic year, the application period for all scholarships is Friday, November 22, 2024, through midnight on Friday, February 21, 2025.
Please note the following eligibility requirements:
- All current Grady College undergraduate and graduate students, as well as Intended-Grady students, are eligible to apply for scholarships.
- Full-time enrollment (at least 12 hours) in Fall 2025 is required. If you will be enrolled part-time in Fall 2025, you will only be considered if you are enrolled in sufficient hours to graduate in your final semester. Students who are not enrolled in Fall 2025 are not eligible to receive Grady Scholarships.
- Students graduating in Spring or Summer 2025 are NOT eligible to apply. Students graduating in Fall 2025 or later are eligible to apply.
- Scholarships are not automatically renewed. A new application must be submitted for consideration each academic year.
Submitting this application guarantees consideration for any scholarship for which an applicant qualifies. It is not necessary to apply for specific scholarships by name.
Grady’s scholarship program is coordinated with the UGA Office of Student Financial Aid. Acceptance of a scholarship from Grady College could result in a reduction of funds awarded from other sources. Check with the Office of Student Financial Aid (706-542-6147) if you have questions or concerns. (Note: Grady scholarships do not affect a student’s HOPE Scholarship amount.)
Grady College scholarships are administered by the Scholarships and Awards Committee through the Director of Undergraduate Services.
STUDENT EMERGENCY FUND
Students facing a demonstrated financial emergency related to their education can complete a Grady College Student Emergency Fund application to apply for a one-time grant of up to $1,000 in support. Because this Public CARE Report is a university-wide application, it is important for students to indicate that they are a Grady student and that they are interested in applying for the Grady College Student Emergency Fund.
FINANCIAL AID
Grady College coordinates all financial aid with UGA ‘s Office of Student Financial Aid (OSFA). If you have any financial aid questions, please call 706-542-6147 or go by the Financial Aid Office in Room 220, Hunter/Holmes Academic Building, and speak with a counselor.
