The Grady Ambassadors are a dynamic team of student leaders who serve as official hosts and ambassadors for the Grady College.

The goal of the Grady Ambassadors is to present a positive and lasting image of Grady College and its students to all constituents.
Ambassadors have a strong presence at college events; lead tours; and interact with alumni, special guests, and prospective students and their families.
Ambassadors have the opportunity to:
- Meet with prospective students and families
- Participate in College events/initiatives
- Create student-centered programs
- Give building tours
- Support outreach and recruitment initiatives
- Network with alumni, donors and special guests
- Offer student input and feedback
The Grady Ambassador organization consists of 20 to 30 undergraduate students who report directly to Diane Murray, the college’s director of Alumni and Outreach, who serves as the adviser for the group.
how to apply to be a Grady Ambassador
Applications to be a Grady Ambassador open in the spring each year. Please watch for information about the next application period. Applications are not considered complete without all the required documents. Those selected to interview will be notified with additional information on signing up for an interview.
Application Requirements
Membership in the Grady Ambassador program is open to all full-time undergraduate students enrolled in Grady College.
Double Dawgs students who did not serve as undergraduate ambassadors are not eligible to apply. Undergraduate ambassadors who continue in a Double Dawgs program have the option of continuing as a Grady Ambassador.

Grady is special because we are the embodiment of creativity. I love the pride that radiates from the building, students, staff, and supporters. Grady is a safe space for everyone. After a stressful day, I know I can come back to my college and feel refreshed and energized to create. Grady heavily fosters community and collaboration through class structures and events. Professors make it a priority to learn from students and make the classroom an innovative environment for creation and feedback.

JOUR 7320 “Journalism Ethics and Diversity” with Professor Lough was one of my favorite Grady Courses by far. Professor Lough had a great way of delivering the material that made it engaging and left you wanting more. I left that class more enriched and equipped with the tools I needed to enter the world of journalism.

My favorite Grady experience was the opportunity to visit The Coca-Cola Company’s world headquarters in Atlanta with Talking Dog and the ADPR department. Coca-Cola was incredibly hospitable, and engaging with Grady alumni at Coke, while witnessing their work, gave me a renewed sense of pride in both the college and the programs I am part of.

I love the transitory state of EMST as both a film school major and a media major, taking the best parts of both to create an atmosphere that is both intense on technical skills but also substantive with theory or historical context. The unique setup creates a student environment that fosters collaboration versus competition and community versus creative difference.
