TEDxUGA tickets on sale February 6
Tickets for the second annual TEDxUGA scheduled for March 28, go on sale Feb. 6 at 9 a.m. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at http://tedxuga.com/tickets.
TED talks explore “ideas worth spreading.” TEDx events are local talks with intimate audiences. The TEDxUGA event will include a range of student, alumni, and faculty presenters exploring a wide variety of original ideas. Grady College and Grady's New Media Institute are two of the event sponsors. Presenters include current Grady College journalism student Lindsey Cook and alumnus David Barbe (ABJ '86).
Due to the exclusive nature of TEDx events, a limited number of seats are available. Only UGA alumni, students, faculty, and staff are offered a chance to attend and tickets are non-transferrable. Up to two tickets can be ordered under one name, and purchasers should be prepared to enter their name, their guest's name and e-mail addresses. Tickets for the 2013 TEDxUGA did sell out.
TEDxUGA starts at 1 p.m. and concludes with a reception at 6 p.m. at the Tate Grand Hall (5th Floor, Tate Student Center.) Please note that at TED events, there is no audience-only participants. Individuals purchasing tickets are required to stay for the entire event.
