TEDxUGA 2016 to feature emeritus professor, two alumni of Grady College

Grady College and the New Media Institute are partnering with other campus organizations to present TEDxUGA: Illuminate on March 18 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Tate Grand Hall.

“TEDxUGA 2016: Illuminate will bring UGA’s brightest minds into the spotlight to share their stories, experiences, and ideas worth spreading,” according to TEDxUGA.com. “Today’s ideas will illuminate tomorrow’s possibilities.”

The event will feature talks and performances by UGA alumni, students, faculty and staff including Grady College professor emeritus John F. Greenman; Phillip Blume (ABJ '06), an international award-winning photographer; and Marc Gorlin (ABJ '95), Atlanta-based entrepreneur and founder of Roadie, the first “on-the-way” delivery network.  Both Blume and Gorlin have been recognized on recent UGA Alumni Association Bulldog 100 lists.

A limited number of tickets for alumni, students, faculty and staff will be available on Thursday, Feb. 11 beginning at 8 a.m.  Tickets are $15 and can be purchased here.

For those unable to attend the event, it will be streamed live from TEDxUGA.com.  There will also be an on-campus Livestream Party, complete with snacks, in the Tate Atrium.
