Grady’s Travel Writing program was created with the idea that we would travel to different places each year. As a travel journalist adventures from one place to another, so does this Travel Writing course!

This program allows students a unique opportunity to gain a cultural perspective through first-hand travel writing experiences while earning course credit. By participating in one of these programs, students are exposed to successful industry professionals that share a glimpse of what life is like as a journalist across the globe.

So far, this course has adventured to Cambodia, Prague, Croatia, Ireland, and Munich – with new adventures just getting started!

Travel to Copenhagen, Denmark for an exhilarating and immersive experience of Travel Journalism!

Travel journalism has three distinct qualities: emphasis on cultural awareness; ambition to provide depth or insight beyond the surface; and complexity of theme, material, and structure within a specific place and with a specific people. While being immersed in Denmark, we will explore a range of techniques that travel journalists use to discover and verify information, to tell stories, and to engage audiences.
