Sports media roundtable takes an inside look at covering football

Four sports media professionals who specialize in reporting college football will share their thoughts and experiences about “Promoting and Covering the South’s Most Popular Sport” Friday, Oct. 2 at 9 a.m.

The roundtable discussion takes place in the Peyton Anderson Forum on the second floor of Grady College and will be preceded by a Chick-fil-A breakfast available on a first come, first served basis starting at 8:30 a.m. The event is free for UGA students and is hosted by the Department of Advertising and Public Relations and Grady Sports Media.

The sports media professionals scheduled to appear include:

•    Pat Forde, senior college football writer for Yahoo! Sports

•    Keri Potts, senior director for public relations for college sports at ESPN

•    Mark Schlabach (ABJ ’96), senior college football writer at ESPN.com

•    Dan Wolken, national college football reporter for USA TODAY Sports

The discussion will be moderated by Bryan Harris (MA ’03), director of sports for Jackson Spalding and a part-time faculty member at Grady College.

All of the guest speakers are in Athens preparing for the UGA vs. University of Alabama game Oct. 3.
