Three Minute Thesis competition at The University of Georgia

Moses U. Okocha, Ph.D. student in journalism, was a top 10 finalist and represented Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at this year's Three Minute Thesis competition at The University of Georgia. The Three Minute Thesis Competition challenges graduate students to explain their thesis or dissertation topic in 3 minutes or less using one static presentation slide. The goal is to help academics practice effectively explaining their works to audiences in accessible, plain language. Moses presented his thesis titled, "True or Untrue? Deepfakes and Health Mis/disinformation - Impact on Journalistic Credibility in Nigeria—a work that explored how deepfakes contribute to misinformation and disinformation, especially in relation to health communication/content.
