Abstract: To contribute to the growing body of research about college students’ media literacy skills and potential implications of their skills, we are conducting a study that includes the evaluation of media literacy skills of college students in southern United States using Simons et al.’s (2017) scale. Data collection is part of a larger study. The findings are discussed in the context of broader implications for higher education. To complement our empirical findings, we also presented Grady College efforts to help students become more digitally media literate consumers.
