Abstract: This study examines how different AI-generated review summaries (AIGS) approaches influence consumer perceptions. A 2 (disclosure language: explicit vs. implicit) × 3 (review framing: categorized vs. single-paragraph vs. mixed) between-subjects design experiment (N = 182) suggested that mixed review framing increased willingness to buy and visual attention to the AIGS. Greater visual attention to the reviews reduced perceived product quality. Visual attention did not mediate the relationship between review framing and willingness to buy.
