Can you #FindDeanDavis?
Welcome (and welcome back) Grady students! We’re excited to kick off a new year, perhaps no one more so than Dean Charles Davis.
Your challenge is to find Dean Davis. His likeness* has been placed strategically around the building. (Think of it as a self-guided tour of Grady). Snap a selfie when you find it and share it on social media with #FindDeanDavis, and you’ll earn a limited edition button as proof you were up to the task, while supplies last. Of course, if you are lucky enough to spot the real Dean Davis roaming the halls, a selfie with him counts! Pick up your button in the Dean’s Office on the second floor when you show your social post.

Also look out for Dean Davis in virtual space. While he has his own digital footprint on social media (@GradyDeanUGA), he’ll be taking over Grady’s main social accounts—@ugagrady on Instagram (Aug. 16), Snapchat (Aug. 17) and Twitter (Aug. 18)—during the first week of classes. So find him there, too.
Finally, we’ll host a Facebook live chat with Dean Davis on Wednesday, Aug. 23 from 2 to 2:30 p.m. in the Peyton Anderson Forum, located on the second floor of the college. Meet Dean Davis face-to-face and enjoy some snacks. Or, watch the stream and participate via Grady’s Facebook page. Come prepared with questions! As a special incentive, all students who participate either in the PAF or virtually will be entered into a drawing for lunch with Dean Davis.
And be sure to mark your calendar for the upcoming Dawgs with the Dean Wednesday, Sept. 20 starting at 11:30 a.m. on the Grady Lawn. Dean Davis dons an apron and serves hot dogs hot off the grill. It’s a tradition not to be missed!
