SUMMARY:Leadership\, Storytelling and Social Purpose:  A conversation with Ruth Ann Harnisch of The Harnisch Foundation
DESCRIPTION:Join us as Ruth Ann Harnish\, a philanthropist and founder of The Harnisch Foundation\, discusses her work advocating for stories that change the way we view the world and for giving women the power to make change. Harnisch  will be interviewed by Grady Fellow Harry Chapman (ABJ ’67). Jeff Jowdy (ABJ ’83)\, founder of the Lighthouse Counsel\, will introduce the program after a welcome from Dean Charles Davis. \nAt 3:30 p.m.guests are invited to a screening of “Columbus” in the Fine Arts Theatre. See “Film Screening of “Columbus” and conversation with Ruth Ann Harnisch.”  Harnisch is an executive producer of the film. \nHarnisch’s visit is supported by the Hearst Foundations Visiting Executive program.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for a special screening of “Columbus\,” a film which tells the story of a Korean-born man who finds himself stuck in Columbus\, Indiana\, where his architect father is in a coma. The man meets a young woman who wants to stay in Columbus with her mother\, a recovering addict\, instead of pursuing her own dreams. \n“Columbus” is an official film selection of Sundance and the Bam Cinema Fest. \nThe screening will be followed by a discussion with Ruth Ann Harnisch\, an executive producer of the film. Nate Kohn\, associate director of the Peabody Awards\, will moderate the discussion and a reception will follow. \nThe event will be proceeded by a lunch discussion\, “Leadership\, Storytelling and Social Purpose : A conversation with Ruth Ann Harnisch\, The Harnisch Foundation.” \nThere is no charge to attend the screening. \nA trailer for the movie can be viewed here.
