Creative Consultants, the student-run public relations agency in the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication, has announced its clients for the 2016-2017 school year. Creative Consultants will work with nine clients, ranging from local nonprofits to large companies, to create and implement a full-fledged public relations campaign.
Clients for this year include Prevent Child Abuse Athens, Great Promise Partnership, The Ark, the Clinical & Translational Research Unit at UGA, Eaton Corporation, Emory School of Nursing, KB Voiceovers, Pixel & Ink Boutique and Porter Novelli.
Creative Consultants is the service arm of the Drewry Chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America, which is a registered UGA student group. “We provide PR and communications research, planning, execution and evaluation for our clients,” said UGA student Erin Shattles, who is the director of Creative Consultants. “Students gain valuable job skills and experience while also assisting nonprofits, small businesses and national companies.”
A team of five to six students is assigned to each client. Teams include an account executive, junior account executive and team members filling positions specific to each client’s needs. All team members will be chosen after submitting an application and participating in an in-person interview with the Creative Consultants director board in early September. Students from all majors at UGA can join PRSSA, which enables them to apply for Creative Consultants.
