Cox Center Names New Administrative Specialist
Laurie Anglin joined the Cox International Center as administrative specialist in late May.
Prior to joining the Center, Anglin worked as an assistant controller and controller with various firms in Georgia and as an accounting manager at Sun Trust Bank. She most recently has been working at Community Bank & Trust in Winder, Ga.
Anglin earned a bachelor's degree with a concentration in accounting from Emory University.
"We're delighted to have Laurie join us in the Center," said Cox Center Director Dr. Lee B. Becker. "We are confident she will contribute in many ways to the wide range of activities in the Center."
In addition to handling accounting functions, Anglin will be responsible for the web operations of the Center and for working closely with international visitors to the Center.
Anglin's first day in the Center was May 21.
The Cox Center is an international outreach unit of the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication.
Anglin replaces Melanie Zuñiga as administrative specialist in the Center. Zuñiga has returned to San Antonio, where she now works in the sponsored programs office of the University of Texas Medical Center.
