AdPR Choose China – Program Costs

The program costs vary from year to year depending on number of students enrolled, exchange rates, and logistical changes. The estimated PROGRAM FEE for Summer 2020 is $5,220 (this includes the $300 deposit paid upon acceptance to the program). Again, this rate is only an estimate and is subject to change slightly from what is advertised to students in the Fall.

In addition to the program fee, students are expected to pay 3 hours of In-state tuition and UGA Mandatory Fees through their Athena student accounts after registration. The HOPE and Zell Miller scholarships can be applied towards TUITION only if applicable. **non-UGA transient students may have an additional $250 fee upon registration**

The program fee listed above includes the following:

  • 3 weeks lodging in hotels or student accommodations in Shanghai, Beijing, and Tokyo, Japan
  • Travel Health Insurance (students are automatically enrolled)
  • 1-2 group meals per day
  • 2 domestic flights from city to city
  • The majority of ground transportation while in each city
  • Some faculty related expenses
  • Program related excursions and activities

The program fee listed above does NOT include:

  • 3 hours of in-state tuition and UGA Mandatory fees (See UGA’s website for updated tuition rates)
  • Roundtrip international airfare (Approx. $1,300 – $1,900 estimated)
  • Some ground transportation while in each city (personal travel)
  • Some meals
  • Personal purchases
  • Passport cost if the student does not have one already
  • Student visa (around $175) – these will be ordered as a group with checks being turned in to the program director upon request
  • Miscellaneous expenses
