The UGA ADPR Choose China Study Abroad Program will offer you the best experience in learning today’s advertising and public relations practice in one of the most important emerging markets in the world.
Spend three weeks in one of the world’s fastest growing markets and meet face-to-face with global, cutting-edge agencies in brand communication and digital media. Offered through the Department of Advertising and Public Relations at the University of Georgia, students earn 3 hours of upper-level elective course credit all while immersed in a cultural experience unlike any other.
In 2020, students on this program will travel around Asia—to Shanghai, Beijing, and Tokyo, Japan—while gathering first-hand knowledge and experience in international advertising and public relations agencies. All three cities offer a 360-degree view of Chinese industry and scenic beauty.
Students will have the opportunity to network, through class interactions and tours of leading agencies such as: Daniel J. Edelman China Group, Ruder Finn China, Ogilvy China, the Shanghai Public Relations Association and Modern Advertising.
Students also engage in cultural trips and weekend excursions such as a visit to Great Wall, among other places.
This program provides a tremendous professional boost to those who either want to—or are considering—working in the global world of brand communication.
