Students spend a good deal of their time in Cannes attending the Festival each day during the week it is held. Additionally, students have the opportunity to take day-trips to neighboring cities both before and after the festival.
Cannes Lions is held in the famous Palais, the same location for much of the festivities of the Cannes Film Festival held in May each year. The Palais is on the coast with the yacht harbor on one side and beaches on the other. All the workshops, seminars and master classes are held in the Palais. The galas and beach parties are held on private beaches reserved for the week.
All the major shops are in Cannes, from Zara to Hermes to Prada. Students spend some of their down time strolling along the main boulevard window shopping or enjoying a cold drink or espresso at an outside cafe.
Cannes is also a good day trip. It is very close to the residence and students can enjoy the beaches during the day, restaurants for dinner, and the nightlife afterward.
The student residence is located in Juan Les Pins, France, just two train stops over from Cannes. Juan Les Pins is a convenient place for our students to stay as it is one block from the train station, one block from restaurants and grocery stores, one block from laundry facilities, and one block from the beach.
Additionally, class is held in a local hotel about a block away from the residence.
