
10th annual Journalism and Mass Communication Career Day
University of Georgia students are invited to network with media industry professionals representing nearly 40 communication companies March 5, 2014 at the 10th annual Journalism and Mass Communication Career Day.
Sponsored by the Grady College and the UGA Career Center, the event is open to all majors. It will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Frank Daniel Foley, Jr. Rotunda, located on the fourth floor of the Miller Learning Center.
Attendees will learn about opportunities available in digital, print and broadcast journalism, creative mass media, advertising and public relations.
Participating companies include the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Associated Press, BBDO, CNN, Community Newspapers, Morris Communications, Southern Company, and Turner Broadcasting along with more than twenty members of the Georgia Association of Broadcasters.

· LinkedIn Branding and Networking – Feb. 24, 7-8 p.m. in the Journalism Building Drewry Room (238)
· Online Portfolios and the Job Search – Feb. 25, 7-8 p.m. in the Drewry Room
· Resume Critiques – Feb. 27, 12-4 p.m. in the Journalism Building Dean's Conference Room (205)
· Networking Do's and Don'ts – March 3, 7-8 p.m. in the Drewry Room
