Stanley Leary is a visual storyteller. He currently serves as a part-time faculty member in photojournalism in the Department of Journalism at Grady College.
In addition, Leary serves as consultant in corporate communications for Chick-fil-A Corporation. Some of his clients include Newell-Rubbermaid, Coke, Georgia Tech, and The Carter Center.
Leary’s work has taken him across the United States and beyond — to Burkina Faso, Canada, France, Ghana, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Portugal and Romania. His images have appeared in magazines across the world including TIME, Newsweek, Sports Illustrated, Parish Match, Stern and many more.
Prior to forming his own company, Leary worked as a staff photographer for The Hickory (N.C.) Daily Record and theCOMMISSION magazine in Richmond, Virginia. For nine years he was a staff photographer at Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Georgia.
Leary is also a teacher. In addition to Grady College, he has taught photography and the business of photography at The University of the Nations, Kona, Hawaii; Reinhardt College, Waleska, Georgia; Berry College, Rome, Georgia; Portfolio Center, Atlanta, Georgia.; and Dallas (Texas) Baptist University.
