Michael is a first year PhD student. His research focuses primarily on media effects of the advertising and news media industries. Specifically, the way that the reporting of academic research is received by the public; and how traditional advertising effects apply in the face of a new media landscape.
Prior to arriving at Grady, Michael lived in Washington, D.C., and Boston, employed in fields as diverse as marketing, commercial real estate, and restaurant management. He completed his Master’s degree at the University of Georgia, and received a B.S. from Eastern New Mexico University.
